SPECIAL EDUCATION

The provision of special needs education is:
1. Public School - Usual class
Children with special needs that determined special education and education are entitled to free attendance at a public school for the provision of special needs education in ordinary classroom equipped with the necessary infrastructure, according to the Ministry's training program tailored to the specific needs of child and their personalized training program.
If the special education and training is provided, in whole or in part, in the ordinary classroom, determined by the Provincial Commission the public school and the class, the number of children in the class in which enrolled children with special needs (which can be reduced depending on the seriousness of the problem of children within it), exceptions, exemptions, modifications or adaptations to the curriculum, the type of support to be provided to the child, the necessary building and environmental changes in the school, teaching periods educational officers in charge of the order in which the child attends and connective officer will have direct responsibility for the child.

If, for reasons specified, it is not possible attendance in the school district where the child resides, the Provincial Commission shall have free transportation to and from their school.

2. Public School - Special Unit
The child's attendance with special needs which was identified special education and training can be done in a special unit that works in ordinary school.

The Special Units be integrated and embedded into mainstream schools and work in comfortable spaces and accessible to children with disabilities. The director of the normal school where the special unit is housed is responsible for its operation.

Children Special Unit entered normally on the school register and mathitologio analogue, where possible, to their age class.

The total number of children in each particular unit is determined based on age, disability, the specificity and the proper operation of the special unit. Competent to decide the total number of students in the special unit is the District Committee, having heard the views of the school principal, connective officer, the relevant inspector of Special Education and the teacher of the unit.

3. School Special Education
School Special Education is a public school established and operated in accordance with the Law for provision of special education to children with disabilities. These schools are staffed with the necessary teaching and other scientific (psychologists, speech therapists, doctors, physiotherapists and others) supporting and auxiliary staff and equipped with modern instruments necessary for the fulfillment of their mission.

Children who attend special education and training schools fall into groups established taking into account the age and the particularities of each child and the multidisciplinary appraised special education determined for them. The number of students in groups defined on the basis of evaluated needs of each child, from the group consisting of a special education inspector, an educational psychologist, a teacher of special education, all by the public sector, and the school head.

The educational policy of the special education and training schools includes continuous contact system of special education and training schools to mainstream schools in their area and the organization of joint activities, as appropriate.

4. Provide Services to Other Sites
In children with disabilities to primary and secondary education who for health reasons can not, for a long time, watching the normal curriculum at school, can ensure education otherwise. The coursework outside school is considered part of the regular curriculum in mainstream classes registered children.



Not determined space other than school as a place providing special education and training, unless it is in accordance with the provisions of the Law and after consultation with the parents, that the special education and training identified for their child can not be given at school.
